Abstract

The research aims to address the problem of geometry teaching, and mainly homothecia in the training of Secondary Education teachers of Mathematics in Higher Teacher Training Institutes, both state and privately managed in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Anthropological Theory of Didactics (ATD) (Chevallard, 1999, 2009, 2012, 2013) and particularly the theoretical construct Study and Research Path (SRP) are used as a theoretical reference. An RSP is designed, analyzed and evaluated to be used as a resource for teaching homothetics in mathematics teacher education.
